It’s been an eventful start to 2010. On returning to work, I discovered via a link to a news story in the local paper from the site homepage that my MP has asked the government to boycott the company I work for, IBM UK, because of the changes it is making to its final [...] Last week I was contacted by Marissa, the technical recruiter at imo.im, to see if I would be interested in applying for a job there. Their company information page is here. When I invent things, I have to disclose them to IBM. If they want to, and it’s within their field of business, IBM can patent the invention. I generally disclose everything (in order to CMA), as IBM’s business is more diverse than I know and they have a lot of lawyers.
