I wanted to buy Windows 8 Pro N; I really hate the builtin Mail, Messenger and Media applications which have come with previous versions of Windows and I am not expecting that to have changed. I was unfortunately unable to order it.
I got this message when I tried to add it to my cart:
About 90 seconds later I added Windows 8 Pro to my cart successfully:
I tried to add Windows 8 Pro N to my cart after this, and got the same message as earlier; it was not therefore a mere transient error in the add-to-cart processing.
As I understand it Microsoft are obliged to provide Windows N editions to EU consumers who want it or face heavy fines. I want it, and thus far the most I have been able to acquire is a rendering of the purported box.
