I’ve moved my blog off wordpress.com to here. The main reason being that there are plugins I want to use which wordpress.com does not make available.
The most useful thing I can now do is enabling Google Analytics with a plugin, so I can get a better idea of how popular my blog is with whom. Another cool one is WP-Prowl, which sends a notification to my iPhone when, for instance, a new comment is added to a post.
I can also of course store as much stuff as I like on my own system, rather than having to pay for storage increments. That makes hosting my podcast and blog in the same system a more attractive proposition.
Anyway, bear with me as I work through the teething problems.
