How do you deliver that first batch of energy for the day?

Bread or toast is the obvious thing to start with as a base, but what do you put on it?  I’m a big fan of fresh bread and butter, but sometimes you want something a bit sweeter.  For those occasions, I present the Banana and Nutella sandwich.

You will need:

  • 2 slices of white bread (or preferably Tiger Bread).
  • Nutella
  • Knife
  • Fork
  • Half a banana

Use the knife to spread the Nutella on one slice.  Use the fork to mash the peeled banana onto the other slice.  Put the two together.  Eat it.  Obviously this works better if you’re making it for two, as bananas don’t naturally occur in halves.

If you wake up, realise that you forgot to buy bread, and start to panic… stop!  You can, in such an emergency, just spread the Nutella directly onto the banana and eat that.
